A Much Needed Update

Hello dear readers! It's been too long since I last posted about what's going on in my life and I finally have a free moment to write a quick post! Many of you know{if you read this post} that I am currently a nanny to a missionary family. Well you might also know that I traveled for the first time on a plane, flying across the country from Georgia to Washington. Then I traveled to Canada to help the family out as they waited for their 5th child to be born. Now almost five months into serving the Mutana family I am taking a cross country road trip with them! We are traveling from B.C., Canada and are headed to South Carolina. So far we have crossed though Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Mew Mexico, and Texas. Along the way I have been blessed to see many interesting sights and scenery plus meet some amazing follow Christians! I've always wanted to travel to all 50's states and God is making sure that I can check off as many as I can on this trip. Serving the Mutana family has been such an amazing journey and the most exciting season of my life so far! God is teaching me everyday how much He cares for and loves me in the many ways He has fulfilled the desires of my heart. I am awed by the love He shows to me, not because of anything that I have done but because He is a good Father and delights in making His children happy! Well here are a few photos{a very few compared to the 1,000 or more I have taken} from my first flight and time in Washington state.
The  Rocky Mountains from my flight.
My first glimpse of Washington after coming out of the clouds.
The Mutana family put on a week long gospel crusade while I was there. To prepare for it they scheduled prayer meetings throughout the weeks prior to the crusade. It wasn't just an incredible time of prayer but of worship and hearing from God! It was my first time to attend an all night prayer meeting...we would begin praying at 10pm and end around 4am! If that's sounds crazy to you; trust me it was a bit strange for me too. However I saw how much God honors the sacrifice of loosing one's sleep to seek Him in prayer. I also fasted for the first time. God is stretching me everyday, showing me how much I can rely on Him whether it be for energy after a long night of prayer or helping me through the day without food. Fasting and all night prayer may seem a bit radical but sometimes, we as Christians, have to do radical things for God.

While on a trip to the Museum of Flight I got to see Seattle and the famous Space Needle!

The Museum of Flight was a vintage lover's was filled with vintage plans dating from the 1930's to the 1960's!
I got to go inside an Air Force One jet in which presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon flew in!
On another fun trip to visit family friends of the Mutanas I got to see Mount Rainier. Well I hope you enjoyed this very brief update. There will be more to come...that is, whenever I have time to write!

Have you ever been to Seattle?
Ever attended an all night prayer meeting?
Do you enjoy museums; especially those with cool vintage things?
Are there things which God has asked you to do which seemed a bit strange at first?
Would love to hear from you!
Love in Christ,
